Color bump works universally based upon how dark the color is. So red indentations and red bumps will come out as all one way or the other (depending on whether you use a positive or negative color bump value).
Version 1.6 will allow you to control bump with an alpha instead of simply a material modifier. This will allow you to have both positive and negative bump values.

thank you
I understand finally.
This program is very easy to use,and a simple and normal think like a bump map i don't believe is not possible....
I'm waiting for 1.6 version....
Then the picture i've seen with the bump in positive and negative(without use the inflat tecnique, too many poligon)onli with the model stuck on the canvas, without any possibility of change the position or rotate, i suppose.
Thank you so much, this topic make me crazy
Bye Leo
While you're waitig for 1.6 you could have different types of bumps by doing the lows on one material and the highs on another.

:p :p :p :D
Well, just make your modle and colour it along with the usual material you put on the modle. Use another material exactly like the first and set the col bump to negative. Once you've done your "valley bumps" do the same with the "peak bumps" in another material but set the col bump to positive in that. I haven't done this but I guess that's how it would work.
