Hi all,
Ok. 150 days I`ve been using ZBrush and I think I like it. If I can do it you can. So get posting your images?

!!!Looks a bit Lightwavish in close up.....no....it`s better coz it`s ZBrushish..
And this is the bitmap I made to import as the background. I built the bot on one layer and exported it. I made an alpha from his shape then made deformed it into the blurred back ground you see below.

ps. I read this today and it made me think of Pixolator:
The Artist must be in his work as God is in his creation, invisible and all powerful; one must sense him everywhere but never see him

They sure don't make Beemers like they used to. ;) That is excellent Southern. Can't wait to see the next one. :)
Very clever and great eyecandy Southern. He looks like bits of springs and shockabsorbers.
The Cars rose up and began to show up on the Ophra Winfrey show, man realized for the first time that they are no longer alone. Pretty soon it was the Cars that were driving the people and everything was good.
Thanks for the shadow technigue, out there mon!
Holy-Moly, thats excellent!!
Jaw-Droper!
Wow!
I'm going to have to upgrade my computer now.
It does look kinda Light-wavish now you mention it.
Wow! Again! Wow.
Southern,
Excellent! If anyone out there knows what "one point" is, you'll know why I bring it up (or down as the case may be).
Anyway, You've got a subtle perspective happening here. I like it. Do you use perspective distortion often? I've only experimented with it a little, but getting the effect that I want is pretty hit-and-miss. I've found that trying to get a very subtle effect is difficult. Any tips to share in that area?
thanks!

HI All,
Adman. I use perspective very rarely. When I started with ZB I did some images that contained TOOL>MODIFY>PERSPECTIVE adjustments but they failed more often than they suceeded. This image has no perspective changes at all. I think it works well with larger image in a background layer but not on a figure in the foreground.
I started this one by puttin one piece (his hips) on to the canvas and then built up from there. I simulate perspective by molding the individual parts as I go along then rotate them into position and snapshop (CTRL+S) in to the canvas.
My advice to most people who are used to 3Ds or lighwave (or any traditional modeler) is forget what you know. ZBrush (as you must know by now judging by your work which is great) is very different to the norm. People try to get it to work like the aforementioned apps and they become frustrated. For example, once an ZTOOL is on the canvas it is uneditable in transform mode. That was a biggy to get over for me. I made me think ahead with my images and plan where I would be placing everything later.
Hope this helps a little. Hey Adman, any chance of uploading a tutorial of how you achieve your hair. I know a few people are interested and I would love to see which tools (Photoshop?) you use. TLFPoet has been working on some female facial images and I think you do the best hair around.
See you later,

Thanks for your insights, Southern. It helps. I'm always trying to forget what I know. Well, actually that's pretty easy.
I'd be happy to post a hair tutorial... just gotta figure out what I'm doing. I'll see if I can document my next "techalien."
take care,
Adman
Wow, just viewed this one. Another cool one Southern.
Great image, Southern! I see you've been playing with the Gear3D tool. The whole thread has been interesting reading, too. Between picking your images apart with my eye and reading the various comments in the threads like these, I learn new stuff every time you post. Thanks for sharing both your work and your insights! :)
I'm looking forward to that hair tutorial, too, Adman.
