Problem with a figure (help)[trap added namek ;) ]

I was working on this rat zif and when I skinned him, a large section of the tail was missing...so I tried again and it still did it...as you can see from the bottom right side that its not a zdepth problem with it just disappearing into the zdepth void....any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated..thanx...

Ron it looks as if you ALT-Clicked the segment (do you have a segment that looks transparent?)....when you do this and skin the object the ghosted segment will not be included in the skin geometry. Try ALT-Clicking it again to bring it back before skinning.

Upon further inspection it doesn't look like you deselected a segment and since this is a unified skin one other thing comes to mind..... it may be that the object passes beyond the borders of the preview window in TOOLS>MODIFERS...if so make SURE you click and activate the AUTO SIZE button before creating the Unified Skin. It is located to the top right just above the MAKE UNIFIED SKIN button.

It looks like you turned off the "Auto Size" option for unified skinning. Try skinning it again with that turned on.

thnx guys...I tried the alt click and that wasnt it..but that is something kewl I didnt realize was there Lonnie. But, I did click the auto size and that was the problem...so I learned something new and fixed the prob. thnx again...here is the result....though when I did click the autosize the bumps for front paw fingers kinda disappeared..but that is ok too....
