Disregard this post for now, I am unable to duplicate with the copy of the image I provided. I'll insert the actual picture when I get a chance. Sorry for the misinformation...
---------------------------------------------
I'm having trouble importing a landscape I created in Bryce into ZBrush. I made sure to change my document size before importing. After importing, the layer preview window looks like it is in the proper colors, but the actual graphic window shows a much darker image. It's almost as if a dark grey haze has been overlayed on my image. I tried with the document background as both black and white, and that did not seem to effect it. I've been able to load other images without problem. Here is the pic.

If anyone gets a chance, I'd appreciate you taking a minute to try it out, and let me know if I need to set a particular setting or something.

Thanks,

Hi :)
The reason that your image has gotten darker is because it is shaded based on the currently selected material and lights configuration. If you do not want the image to be shaded, simply select material number zero (Flat Color) and then import your image. When you import an image, ZBrush will automatically assign the currently selected material to each pixel, which in this case will be Flat Color, and you'll be able to see the image in true-unshaded colors.

If you do want the image to be shaded, you can modify the material properties in order to increase the image intensity. (One simple way to do that is to increase the Ambient value of the material)

Sorry 'bout that.....Pixolator beat me to it!

Hi CDE.....After you import your image go to layers & highlight the layer you want your image to show up on / choose Material-FlatColor / choose your image / then in Layers / select Modifiers - Fill. You should then see your image as a background in all it's brilliant & bright color. Hope this helps??? Z'ya later..... Mark.
