Hello again my fellow Zbrusher's!!!! I just wanted to remind everyone, that there is a very special time here at Zbrushcentral when we can really strut our stuff!
It's Halloween 2009!!!

For the past 8 years, Zbrush central has held the annual ZBC Halloween exhibition during the month of October. As I am not an employee of Pixologic, all I can say is that I hope to see this wonderful tradition continue! For all our the members here at ZBC, I invite you to take a look back, and see the progression, of not only our senior members (who were noobs at the time) but also at ZBrush the app., growing up! Enjoy, -Brian

Thank you for posting this, very nostalgic!!!!

Especially like the image of Aurick in knickers.

Keep in mind that these happened when Zbrush was a program
aimed at it's members, not a corporate intrastructure.

Fun is out, "kewl" and bickering are in.

Mr. Stu.
Have confession, kind of.
Have a comuter with 12 gb ram.
Did not think enough of new version's features ( or lack thereof)
to run it. Installed it, looked at it, found out plugins did not work.
Also the new Zballs have no interest for me.

If there is some kind of test you are interested in, let me know
will try.

Only thing left to check out before i go is how 3.5 will perfom on one of
those 12 mb ram rigs.Last I had heard around 3.1, is that ZB as a program couldnt use more than 4gb of ram. Dunno if thats changed or not with the new version, but I doubt it since it still isnt specifically 64 bit software.

I do know that with 3.5 and 4 gb of ram, on hardware that really has no business being able to do it, I am able to save , load, and edit a mesh with 33+ million active polygons (thats not with HD or subtools, just a single mesh.) with pretty reasonable performance.

[edit] As for the Halloween thing, isnt pretty much every day on ZBC Halloween? I'd like to see a challenge that *doesnt* call for monsters and beasties for a change.
