Now is the time, Pixologic is pushing this crack and we wants our CRACK.
I gotsta have my honey. They give the first four upgrades free and now we're all addicted, whozzawhaz?

Them zkiffs look fantastic, and that's from posts by the noobs, waaazzuup.
Give us that, hobbit! That's too fly, I'm slapping myself silly, sheeesh. The PC 3.5 threads get longer and longer - they love what they got, they HATE what they got, they don't know what the got YO GIMME WHAT YOU GOT.

It takes more than a week to kick out a refined artwork, especially since the new features and program have to be learned, also ZB 3.5 is not a complete program yet.

If I needed to do a job with ZB I still would use 3.1

actually, i dont want to be rude, but i didnt see 1 decent work done in z3,5 yet, and im kind of disspaoint, i expected a lot of stuff to pop up ...The new tools have a learning curve, and it takes some time to create masterpieces even with something you're familiar with. You dont release the program and get top row Zsketches the next few days (although there have been some nice ones).

They did seem to not follow the same beta pattern this time though. What *is* absent is the typically great collection of work the beta users usually produce. Except for Ryan's great stuff, I havent seen much in the way of this. Don't know if they had a smaller beta this time around, or havent freed them up to release it yet.

Personally, I haven't even been able to play in the program as much as I would like, as I still have jobs on my desk keeping me from Zplay.

yeah, i like to think that ppl better than me can create amazing stuff in matters of hours ;D And the fact that there were no works shown from beta also was suprising, meybe they betatested zbrush 4.0 all the time, and still cant show it, and i agree i saw rayns works yesterday, i really loved it ;]

The Mac version is due in September (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=73517) , so it could be released any day now.

But it has changed when they announced the release of ZBrush 3.5 for Windows (not 3.5R2). ;)

I would be surprised if it was. The Windows version was delayed. The first announcement of 3.5 said Mac version in September, the later announcement, when the Windows version was released, seems a little vague.

Sorry for the repetition, didn't see the post above

I remember that Pix announced that the PC and Mac version would be released 'simultaneously'.. Correct me if I'm wrong, am I? I don't think so. And here we are again, waiting, waiting... waiting.

Vista was driving me crazy, constant app hanging, crashes, poor performance. I had to install Windows 7 RC, but the licence onely worked once then asked for it again. I tryed to activate it again but run our of licence slots, so cant use 3.5 even if I wanted, same for 3.1 as well.

I keep checking in everyday, hoping to hear at least one morsel of good news about the release date. Still nadda, huh?

I guess it could be much worse -- Pix could pull an Autodesk and make us pay for an update.

It's true, I'm in the middle of a job and I don't want to deal with learning Z 3.5 right now and figuring out work arounds. Great features, but I have to save it for down time. My PC that I bought for 3.5 is gathering dust. My Mac feels loved.

Pixologic feels loved - you bought a pc for 3.5 when you already had a mac and 3.2 license!

I suspect a similar transition as well. I'm still learning how to use what is available, and know that 3.5 wouldn't get used in production immediately upon release. Still, those new features look handy!

Worse would be supporting Mac by making you run it in Parallels instead of natively.

lol you guys have better working version of 3.2 then we have of 3.5.
3.5 has some very core bugs right now. Like import/export scale issues ,lazy brush hangs no zapplink.

So you guys arnt missing out on much :P

Mac users have never had Zapplink, as far as I know.

Yeah, as what everyone else is saying. 3.5 isn't very good at this point in time.
The move tools or (the regular move tool) doesn't even do push and pull anymore.

3.1 is a much better version to work with considering the # of plug-ins that are available right now and non-bug core functionality when rotating the model.
At most, I miss the "perspective grid" but I can easily manage without it :)

I guess it goes to show what you can live without, all special new tools are not really needed after all and their just there to sell few copies haha.

Time should of been spent on just bringing zbrush into 64bit era already for Mac and PC .

Yeah they don't improve the creative process at all! I haven't seen any amazing work done with ZSII! (*sarcasm*)
