If you have not created an account yet, do so and be sure to include the information from your license purchase (reference and serial numbers). According to one of the videos I watched, I seem to remember it saying you can go from a ZTL in 3.1 and open it to 3.5. But not the other way around. So a 3.5 will obviously not open in 3.1...... Unless that was just the New Sketch ZSphere model it was talking about.... But anyhow, from what I gather 3.1 to 3.5 should be dandy.

Works for me too. Do the usual things: update motherboard, video card, and chipset drivers. Turn windows update on. Make sure your firewall is ok. Uninstall and reinstall zbrush after doing the above stuff. 7 has been rock solid for me.

Read 11.5 and thought OSX 10.5 :cry: You know I cannot read zbrushcentral AND check my email inbox 18 times per minute. But in any case GoZ has been working very nicely with modo 401 on Mac OSX.

there are hints to Goz in zbrush 3.5 you might notice when you go to export options that there are Goz Exports, maya file, obj, etc.

also in the Zbrush/Pixologic folder there should be some goz stuff there.

what is missing is the importers for the other applications. theres a few files of goZ in there but its unfinished. The finished version is what should be released later this month-ish...

Not down. Just very, very busy. :)

Something that will help everyone is to not submit any "where's my upgrade email?" tickets for the first couple of days. Until Cleverbridge has finished sending them all out we cannot assist with such tickets anyway. So submitting them only bogs down the system and delays us being being able to help everyone.

We will get everyone upgraded! There's just a lot of demand and only so much server capacity.

Can somebody give me a hint. I trying to stard the new Zbrush.exe scince about 45 minutes and all what I get is a side-by-side error message.

The tell me I should unzip the file ZBrush3_5.zip and extract it to your programs folder. Within your programs folder, open the folder ZBrush 3.5 and locate ZBrush.exe and double-click on it. You will be guided through the installation process.

But if I start the exe the error message appears. :confused:

I think that running the exe file in the troubleshooting folder should solve your problem.

I highly doubt they are sending out temporary pc licenses to mac users! While that would be kinda cool, it's not necessary now. That was what they did with 3.1 to provide mac users with a temporary solution when the wait was much longer. For now, show us some cool stuff during the coming weeks pc users!

having a torrent of the installation file is not illegal. cracking the program IS. people wouldnt be able to install it without a valid license.

bittorrent is just a file transfer protocol. thinking that because it is distributed by bittorent does not mean that it is a cracked program that anyone can instal. it;s important to know the difference.

It's part of the tools menu, you can also bake out HD Geometry normal maps. How sweet is that!?!

According to one of the videos I watched, I seem to remember it saying you can go from a ZTL in 3.1 and open it to 3.5. But not the other way around. So a 3.5 will obviously not open in 3.1...... Unless that was just the New Sketch ZSphere model it was talking about.... But anyhow, from what I gather 3.1 to 3.5 should be dandy.Thank you very much for the reply dustbin1_uk.

it is, and isnt.

its in 3.5, but doesnt have a lot of the functionality. for example, you will notice that you cant download from google, or search for images. you can just browse your hard drive for models, brushes, materials. still useful enough ( i prefer it to the open dialogue that exist in the tool menu. )

Whoa! I wasn't expecting a ZBrush upgrade so soon! 3.5 looks, well, delicious! I have the email, downloaded the ZIP file, unzipped all to my Program Files (x86), run the EXE and got it keyed, registered, and running fine.
It's still fast. Real fast. And there are so many new things in it I'm gonna be lost exploring it all for a while!

On Vista you would open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Escape) and look for the zbrush.exe process. On the 64 bit version of Vista there will be a "*32" next to 32 bit processes. Not sure if it is the same on XP64.

But having said that, if they are not advertising 64 bit, then it is probably a 32 bit application.

I use both Mac and PC, and have just received the PC download info. Am I able to download the PC version, then additionally download the Mac version when it's released?

Basically I'm asking am I allowed to have two working versions of Zbrush operating (This is for personal use only, I'm not a business with employees)
