Hello,

How can I get combustion effects like volcano smoke, rocket fire and smoke etc?

-----------------------
Below is old post
-----------------------

Question goes to Southern first then... Everybody :)

South, do you use multimarker tool often?

It seems hard to use to me. It's so hard to get objects together with it.

I create things like I make painting on paper. I think 2d and 2.5d after I did modeling and texturing...

What about you?

Used it twice maybe three times. They were for little images in the PDF manual.

See Kruzr, he`s the MM man.

Mind you, I haven`t used Stencil yet, I`m still a newbie in some parts of the software. My first year was just heads. :)

South,

Ok... I got my answer :)

I've exprienced the MM and understood the way it works but... I've some 3D background and from that point of view MM is not handy for me.

Your works are great... So I wanted to hear what do you think and, what you did with MM while creating complex works.

I see, crazy lots of details in your works.

Oh,

Two more questions in my mind...

:b4: How can I make wires or pipes like this in ZBrush? It's easy to make them in any 3D program but still I couldn't find a way to make it...

Thank you so much ÈZ,

This is not the answer I'm looking for :(

Sometimes you need to think in 3D and this the situation.

Please take a look at the picture below.

I need pipes or wires which interacts with other objects in 3d space. "Other Objects" can seem in the same line if you imagine 2D but the truth can be quite different.

My question is, How can I create wires in 3D space that interacts other objects along a path without changing the thickness or any other property.

And what about combustion effects?

Thank you again.

Hello,

I found a pixolator tutorial...

I'm posting the URL for who want to learn this Zsecret ( It was a secret for me :) )

Here it is: http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000059

This tuto, partially solves my problem. But...

Still It's hard to put it inbetween 2 objects if I want to get exact position in my head or sketches. Because I cannot see the depth difference between objects.

Any suggestions?

And, how can I get combustion effects?

Thanks all.

Hey dOb
There hasn't been too much call for explosions and such, but a "off-the-top-of-my-head" answer would be something along the lines of ...
1. create a small ball
2. select a glow matertial
3. select the fiber brush and set the modifications to no gravity and less dense.
4. In the Draw Palette, increase the depth of the fiberhairs so they are longer
5. fiber-paint the small ball. Don't worry about no glow just yet.(I'd advise you to DL Aurick's green-thumb script at the Pixologic Webpage or check out this (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000078)thread for a bit of fiber fun)
4. Do a best render to see the glow effect.

Maybe use the "2d" tools in the tool palette like the highlighter to add a bit extra umph?!
What kind of combustion were you talking about? Planets exploding or a fuse burning?
Upham :)
I'll knock a tut up if you like?

That is a neat effect that you two have cooked up. Looks like some kind of electrostatic corona. It definitely adds a sense of motion to the scene.

Heeyyyy .... cool! :tu: :tu:

It *should* be pretty easy to make combustion effects in ZBrush. I'll put this on my to-do list.
Thanks for the feedback dOb. That picture looks better than I thought that technique would work out. Well done!
