Where could I get tutorials on how to paint a scene?

I am really at my wits end. Any help on how to modeel and paint a realistic head? Or where could I get the galleries pics tutorials?

If you want to see a good picture of a realistic, human head, check out buzzwizard's "very first image" on pg. 4. otherwise, i can't help you.
