So VERY helpful for me to be able to view this work. :)

I do find myself wondering (thinking) quite a bit as I view this work and wanted to ask a question.

ARE all of the steps shown, (I belive that I counted ten )required to achieve the end result?

I've seen images showing the steps like this before in books, but never had the chance to ask an artist about this.

I only ask this in hopes of gaining a better understanding.
