Hi, I was browsing here in the "OTHER" section and I couldn't find a discussion thread concerning a concise "third party tutorials thread" so I thought I'd make one. This thread should be to discuss and recommend tutorials and other goodies/tips-tricks (from 3rd party content) and so on.

So I hope this thread is acceptable to the Mods/Community.

That being said I went to the digital Tutors website last night and was totally confused at first concerning the revamp to online streaming content-subscription format.
I'm slightly dismayed as I've spent a lot of money there and I like to have my lessons available at any time to study and re-study.
I know the subscription model is probably the only way that DT can survive at this point due to rampant piracy so in that respect it's welcome, I guess I'm just an old dog having trouble learning new tricks.

I am sure most people here know Jason Welsh but on the off chance you don't check out his videos here http://www.veoh.com/users/cannedmushrooms

If I ever meet that guy in person I am going to buy him a beer.

http://www.lynda.com/ also has some good payed tutorials. As well as http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/

Hmm, Jason Welsh huh, I'll have to give those a look.
I like Digital Tutors but I'm on the fence concerning their content delivery model.
Gnomon has good tutorials but I don't enjoy them as much for some reason, although the need for knowledge surpasses that minor gripe.

As far as having a disk/file that I can play offline at my whim is more my speed, but there is the whole piracy issue, to me I would need the annual subscription for DT but I don't have $300.00 some odd dollars to spare for that right now.

I guess this can go in this thread, Highend 3D is NO MORE. I'm actually glad because this Creative Crash idea looks awesome.
It's like a Social-Business networking/News/Tutorials/Download/Marketplace site...whew.
Anyway I usually become a little sad when long time sites change but not this time.

Well....yah. it's THE, other section. :p

Wow such a time of change for the online 3D community.
First Digital Tutors and now the old Highend 3d site.

Now all we need is ZBrush 3.5.
