I agree with the frustration posted by several members regarding having paid for the program and being subsequently denied access due to an expired temp SN... How long on average does it take to get a permanent one? It seems highly unfair that now I am locked out of my
quote:
already paid for

program while awaiting permenant status..

Maybe a less painful method would be to auto e-mail another temporary SN in response to the request for the permanent one that would re-enable the program until the said permanent SN arrived, allowing a purchaser to continue using the program, instead of just a
quote:
lock out

with no other recourse available other than to anxiously sit and wait...

You're not locked out of the program. In your ZBrush folder, there is a Serial_Number.txt file. Open it and scroll down to the Troubleshooting section. That will give you a way to get a new temp SN while you wait for the permanent one.

You can be back up and running in minutes.

OK, I have a new SN: but, the program closes after a splash screen telling me the number has expired, without any options for entering the new number!

So.... where else does one put it? I tried putting the new number in the TempSN.txt file, but then ZB won't open at all........

Solved my own problem. I needed to DELETE the TempSN.txt file, so the program would create a new one: and got back the dialog box requesting my name and the new serial number.... :)

Thanx, all, especially jaime for another new number and offer to call and help!

I'm back to ZBrushing......hurrah!
