Hello all!
I thought perhaps other ZBrush users would like to see how well it's textures and post abilities integrate with other apps (Bryce in this case).
All textures <less the 2 structures> foliage, terrian, water, were made in ZBrush.
The sky was painted in ZBrush and applied to a terrain mesh (sym lattice) in Bryce.
The final render was done in Zbrush
I'm not much of a purist...hahahaaha.
Whatever works is cool with me.
I have other images that are pure ZBrush but they tend to be a bit gross.
I like slimey stuff!
If you prefer not to see "mixed app" results please feel free to say so.
My nick is Pinhead after all...

A wonderful New Year to all!

Paul

I'm no purist either Paul. Whatever works. This is a fine example of mixing things up to get a specific result. Well done.

Asking someone to use only one program is a bit like asking a wrestler to use only one arm. Sure, it's interesting now and then for a challenge -- and can even be educational -- but every program has its strengths and weaknesses. Bryce was designed to create realistic landscapes. Poser was designed to create realistic people. ZBrush was designed to do awesome renders in real time, and to do a bunch of things that other programs can't. As a result, I'm seeing ZBrush become increasingly popular as a tool to enhance other applications -- which only benefits ZBrush because more users = more money for R&D = a better ZBrush yet!

(Heck, even Pixolator used Poser to create the hands for the ZWitch ;))

Do what you enjoy, Paul. I think the rest of us just enjoy seeing your work! I know that I sure do. This is if anything even better than your Pipe Dreams. :tu:

This is a wonderful landscape. I agree that if a combination of programes produces the desired result, thats fine. For pleasure I try all the possibilties in ZBrush alone, but if I need fast effective landscapes, I use Vue D'Esprit, which I can use in conjunction with ZBrush object files.

juandel - geez you want to see all my junk? Hahahahahaa. OK. ;)
I have a nice picture of Aurick I did which I'll be happy to post. Lol..he may not be so thrilled.
Re; the building.
The Big "house" on the cliff is Charlottenlund Slotshave - nice place where Danish Princesses used to hang out.
I kind of like Danish princesses a bit...
It's a popular place for outings now a days.
The image was originally done for a beautiful Danish princess on her birthday.
I get the shack at the bottom of course :D

You folks are something - thanks again!

I think you'll find no purists on this forum :))) count me in!

this painting, besides being technically masterful, is also one of the most beautiful bryce compositions I've seen. and I can see where zbrush helped out, too :)
