I have a question, which has been giving me a bit of bother ever since I began doing the "Frosted Look". When I add the noise , it does not apply right out to the edge of the image. Does any one have any ideas as to why this should happen? If you do please post. I would be most grateful.
I hope you can see what I am speaking of in this image. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1012860855afr.jpg
Though I can not tell you why this happends, I can say that the Noise brush is not the only one with this limitation. The snakehook brush will also give you some trouble if you try to use it on the edge of you canvas. My only suggestion would be to allow for a "bleed" area and you can crop the image afterward. Then again, maybe there is a setting...

i cant remember which one it was, but in one of the scripts of Pixolator this problem is fixed by tilde-ing the layer around (and back in place, if wanted), methinks. this allows brushing areas which seem blocked at the edge when using certain brushes who are eager tp pick visible pixols, i guess :D

I think I remember that technique too, Juandel...I believe you can scroll sideways and get the edges....
BTW: Interesting image, Doc!
Thanks for the information. I did crop the original, but decided not to do so with this one so that I could ask the question and have an example to show.
That's right. Holding down the "~" key will allow you to move the canvas around. Great way for making seamless textures...
