Hey guys it's been awhile. I am glad to see so many new members joining us here at ZBC! I have been bored stiff with a project at work (tedious camera tracking job) and finally had the chance to have some real fun with Zbrush! I have been thinking about the new displacement feature that should be available in 1.6, and also about Terragen lately and presto change oh here's what I came up with.

This is a hybrid image that was created by first making a grey scale image in Zb with an image size of 257X257. I then exported it out saved it as a .raw file imported it into Terragen setup the attributes I wanted. Rendered it at 1280X920 saved and then imported back to ZB where the lava lighting and other effects were added. I thought of putting some smoke with the fire, but it just did not look to great. I can't wait for the displacement feature even more now, because it would nice to be able to use the Zdepth of the displaced image. 121 welcome :)

It looks really awesome, i wish i knew how to achieve that 'painted' look in my own images.

extremly nice lava scene. I bookmarked this thread to remember how you did it...I have terragen but dont use it often. Looks like you did something that seems unique to me....Always a pleasure to see hybrid images making great use of other tools to compliment zbrush... :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

Thank you guys for the kind remarks! This image is smaller than what I am used to working with, but I think you guys got the fealing for it.
Hey Nukage by "painted" do you mean the lava effect? ;) :)
