View Full Version : Mogica - a friend
I have withheld in practising models. For the time being, only heads. I admit that I have had some progress, but continue with serious problems to sculpture the division between the face and the ears. Here it is plus an attempt... Mogica! We could have a section only for heads! (or already exists and I still did not find? )

I think that's great modelling! :tu:
There are a lot of tips for head modelling and even ear modelling...I'm sure one of the gurus will help out!
Nice job on this guy though!
:tu:  :tu:
Tanks for commentaries stonecutter... I see some works here and think: " When I will have capacity to make something similar?!!"
I have to agree-modeling the ears on the head has been a problem for me also-are you absolutely sure this is Mojica-it looks an awful lot like Lord Kitchner......Kirtchner.......anyway I think it is great modeling, with an expression to boot.
Great modeling. Lots of talent shown. Keep up the good work.

Nothing wrong with that head model. It has oodles of character and a well formed style. It has a 'oneness' and works well as a model.
Realism ain't everything, if one can evoke a feeling, or portray an action.......well then art is achieved.

This is very well done model. A thought on doing ears. It seems to me that there are a couple of ways of doing them.
:b1: Once you have your head modelled, and positioned in it's final place - model the ear as a seperate object and position it on your head.
:b2: Another approach is to decide how much of the ear will be seen. If the head model will be seen in full profile, or three quarter profile, etc, then you'd likely want to model the whole ear. However, if you can't really see the ear because of the head's position, hair.... then model what you need. There is no point to modelling detail where no one will see it.
Keep up the excellent work!
I don't want to scare anyone but I MADE A ZSCRIPT!!
Whoo hoo!
It's how I make ears and head to be correct with the ears (I always start with the ears)

Don't forget to set the replay delay in the "ZScript" pallette to 1000. (slow it down)
:D :tu: (I am not playing on Thanksgiving....YES I AM!!) :D
I REALLY like the facial hair as well as the expression. It's a well done head if you ask me.
Happy thanksgiving all ! You could always do it, you just did not try. Congratulations on the ZScript Kat, I hope this is the first of many, I am sure we can all learn a lot from you.
