okay everyone -- prepare to laugh at a newbie--
i decided to plunk down my limited funds to purchase z-brush since it is so awesome... but i'm having a problem!
the pro version has a popup screen when you first start it that requests you to input your name and serial #... unfortunately this window is not moveable nor resizeable.
even more unfortunate is that i have a crappy 15 " monitor and the "click ok" button is off the bottom of my screen! So i can't get it going since my monitor is too small! lol
feel free to laugh. but maybe this isn't funny if i'm truly stuck here. :(
help! yeah yeah -- i need a new monitor... but i keep suffering with it so i can save my money for great apps like z-brush!
sos!

Leviathan,
Even with a 15" monitor, you should still be able to set your screen size to something higher. Not sure where you have it set, but mine is at 1024 X 768. This works well for me. In case you are not sure how to do this, go to Control Panel, Display (or simply right click on your desktop and choose Properties). Then go to the settings tab, and choose a different screen resolution. This should help immensely.

Put your screen resolution up to its maximum, or near abouts. It will make most things too small to read, however you will be able to input your infomation and get past that screen.
:) Hopefully

hehe, slosh, check out the times at which we posted ;) Right on the dot!
I know, we seem to do that a lot (like when I was putting in the forgotten pic of Cleetus, and you were already telling me I forgot) :p

wow -- you guys are fast! thanks!
problem is when i said *crappy* 15" montior, i meant it. :( i am familiar with the screen resolution settings, but none of them work anymore. i am at the largest resolution this old dinosaur can handle.
i am sure i am the only person on earth who will have this problem with the ss# interface... but i am still stuck.
i suppose i should email pixologic directly.
i hope everyone can see the humor in this. lol

It's gotta be frustrating, Lev. I know when I first got ZBrush, I couldn't wait to start using it, but I had family obligations to tend to first. I spent the whole time looking at my watch, waiting to get home. LOL :p

That's too bad lev; I'm sure if you email ZuZu or Pix they might be able to work somthing out.
And Slosh, I know exactly what you mean. The day I finally decided to purchase Zbrush, my ISP decided to go down for maintinence. Didn't go up for 2 days :(

Can you use the return Key perhaps instead of the “OK” button?

tried hitting 'return' to no avail.
thanks for the thought, though! perhaps i could offer a friendly suggestion to pixologic that 'return' would work in future versions... :)
still hunting for a solution, but have emailed pixologic

If your monitor resolution is so low that you can't see the "OK" button, then your resolution is probably too low to use ZBrush effectively.
Unfortunately, you're probably have to work on getting a better monitor capable of a resolution of at least 1024x768, but I find working at that resolution difficult as well. I work at a resolution of 1280x1024.

i tried hitting tab and enter too. :) in fact... i hit every possible key on my keyboard. lol
i think the solution is me just getting a new monitor which i need anyway.
thanks for all your suggestions.
