Very excited by the thread I found on here talking about Zbrush's ability to export to a format for 3d printing. I had already found one site that did it before, but I didn't realize there was a plugin.

Anywho, I was wonding if there were any places people could tell me about that do printing/etc. besides Shapeways (which is in the Netherlands and I'd prefer somewhere in the US).

I found one place Ownage Manufacturing, that could handle straight Zbrush files with even up to 80 subtools and would even mix materials and paint it for you. But there minimum was $300. I like Shapeways because you can just upload your own model and they will take car of the rest for you, just hoping there are other places.

I am unemployed and struggling to survive, I could easily make some beautiful jewelry or sculpture that could sell (i'd of course buy the commercial version of Zbrush before). But I'd need more information first.

Thanks all for your help.

Lol just took a deeper look on Ownage and found that one of them is on here: Desmoda. I will contact him to find out if there is any other options.

Anyone interested in having a print done in the Uk send you're zipped up STL file to sales@camodels.co.uk and we'll give you a good quote.

We have Perfactory, SLA and SLS printing technologies with different build capacities.

Our customers include the sculptor David Goode, and you can see his beautiful work on this forum if you do a search.

To feel the model in you're hands after hours or days working is an amazing thing. Try it !
