The blur is there for a reason, but it wont come into play untill more of the image is finished. The plan is to have the focus on the background, hence the forground being blurry. Alot like human eye perspective, or looking through the lense of a camera

Actually, this project idea has just been scrapped. I couldn't actually get it to look right; with the background in focus and the foregound blurred. It looks strange.

Actually Cal I think you could get it to work if you changed the perspective a little. The reason it may look odd now is that the vampire dude is in the center of the piece...the eye is naturally drawn to him so he becomes the center of attention. You need to make him NOT the center of attention so try increasing your canvas horizontally and move him off to the left or right. That way the background will become the focal point.

ok thanks for the tip. I'll try that :) I'm actually in the middle of another started peice (heh I never stop) So I'll try that when im done with this.

And thanks again for the tip with teeth; untill then all my guys had thier mouths closed =)
