Hello everyone

Just wanted to know everyone thoughts on Business Cards

The reason I am asking as I am a Graduating Student and have made some card, and something I was told by people for the Industry that they don't like
Grad Students putting Job titles Like animator or 3d artist

So to counter act this I used the term Aspiring 3D Artist , but ever person Ive give one to is thrown of by it

Just wanted to know you're thoughts on the do's and donts of making contact with Industry .

Cheers

Murray

First of all you are in the wrong forum. There is a community chit chat forum here. But I am not even sure if you are on the right site...

But here is exactly what you need!

Funny... I have small offset printing business... the clients always ask if I can print them less than 1,000 business cards... I always tell them "They will last you a month".

The truth about all media, it's that it's always thrown away. From a thousand cards only 5 will fall into the right hands, and there, whatever your title is, if your work is good, it may call the attention.

I don't sense why it's bad to have the Title as "3d artist, 3d modeler" as long as you are ABLE to do it....

I have never been in contact with the "industry", but I am a teacher in an animation school... by claiming over me the title of "3d artist", and I have my resumé with that title too... (maybe that's why I've never been contracted )
