View Full Version : Nowhere to run!
This is a scene I've imagined for years and I can realise it with Zed!! :) Everything except some shading and moving of fire done in Zbrush as I can't see a way to put a light amongst the objects of a scene. Hope it tickles your fancy. :)

You can put lights within your scene by using Point, Spot and Glow lights.
Glow lights illuminate everything within their radius, regardless of the direction that the objects face in relation to the light position.
Point lights are localized lights that only illuminate surfaces which face the light.
Spot lights go a step farther by allowing you to aim them in a certain direction away from their source.
You position all three of these by using the Light>Placement menu. You can enter XYZ coordinates manually, or you can click and hold on the P and drag it out onto your scene. Wherever you let go, that's where the light will be positioned. The Radius slider determines how far from that position the light will still have an effect. And the Intensity Curve (above the submenus)lets you control how strongly the light behaves at each point within that radius. The left side of the curve is at the farthest point, and the right side is at the origin. (This actually lets you do some strange things, such as having a light that doesn't illuminate anything at its source but is very bright at its outer radius.)
Have fun! :)
Love the colors in this one, nice and vibrant. Glad he finally got that irritating animal, after 14 years I was beginning to feel sorry for him :) Cool picture :tu:
