Hello all,
This is all ZBrush1.55b... I modeled the head out of Zspheres with adaptive skinning, I modeled both the hair and the rose out of a plain old Sphere3d Ztool. Once again thanks to MTB for his cool Distressed Z technique!
Really just experimenting some more... with ZBrush it is too much fun!
Thanks for looking!
Take care all,
Michael

Thanks Pilou!
Not a mustache, at least not intentionally... only distress, of course, a woman having a mustache would lead to distress... Hahahahah!
This was just for kicks anyhow... I was trying to portray the emotion of sadness... I think I managed that much though it is a strange piece! Sometimes I just paint what I feel!
Take care man,
Michael

I like the unique style of it... Does have a waxy, relief look to it... Nice job... I never noticed it before, but I like your signature.

Joe, Kevin, and Nocturnal,
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated I assure you!
Andres,
Here is a quick run down,
First I modeled the head out of Adaptive skinned Zspheres and then I modeled the hair and rose from Sphere3d Ztools. These modeling sessions are tutorials in and of themselves so I will leave the modeling up to you for now. Place the 3d models onto the canvas and arrange them to suit your tastes... I put the hair on the head , the rose above the ear and added Spheres for eyes. The wild looking background was created out of the alpha brush utilizing different alphas with variations of Zadd and Zsub. All the color was done using the SimpleBrush with only rgb selected. I created a waxy material by using the BasicMaterial and raising the left side of the diffuse curve up to about 75% of the way from the top. This adds a waxy type ambience. The other material was made out of the noisy metal material with a lot of tweaking done to it. I used a 3-point lighting scheme for the final render... see below.
I then used MTB's Distressed Z (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=011189&p=7) technique to finish the image.
The image was rendered at 3200x2400@72PPI then it was resized down for the web.
This should cover everything,
Let me know if you have any questions?
Take care,
Michael

p.s. you can find my waxy material and 3-point lighting files in this thread:
