Howdy PartnerZ,
Ths is my First Human? head model in Zbrush. I started out trying to model a female head, LOL, and then it turned into a Dwarf's head, and finally this is what I ended up with. Now the modeling is done, so I have to model some ears and hair, maybe a hat, and then I get to try texturing human skin. Can't wait. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200309/user_image-1063434721ioq.jpg

Reminds me of the monoliths on Easter Island that watch out into the sea. You have some pinching type wrinkles on the forehead area. I don't know if they were intentional or not, but in case they weren't.... you can take and mask off those wrinkled areas while still in edit mode...by selecting the zadd tool and hold down the Ctrl key and the cursor should turn yellow and then paint it over a patch of rough skin like the forehead and it should look like you are painting black onto your model. This is the mask. You then go to your tools pallette and select selection and ther you can hit the Inv which inverses the mask....now your model should be black cept for the area you originally masked off....then while still in edit mode you can go to the Deformations pallette and selct the smooth slider...and inch those numbers up and the wrinkles will smooth themselves out.....after you do that and are satisfied.....go into the Selection toolbar area again and Clear the mask.....then you can continue with the modeling session. Hope this helps and keep up the good practice. btw..the eeybrow piercing was a nice touch. Very tribal :tu: :tu: :tu:

Thanks for the info Ron. And the compliment. Much obliged. The wrinkles are intentional actually. I create them by using the masking technique you brought up, but only on a small area, like around the eyes for instance, then I invert the mask and DIVIDE the selected area. What happens is kind of Buggy? but I use it for my style. Certain lines project outward from the masked area following the contour of the object. I find ones that would look interesting and leave them unmasked. I perform an inflate deformation, inflating the whole head and thereby leaving the wrinkles. I think the ones around the eyes came out cool on this model. I swear, by doing this model, I found out why this program is called "Z" brush...it's probably named after all the times you have to hit "Ctrl-Z" when you screw up! :D
