Hi all,

I set document size to the max: 4096* 4096, the canvas does not look larger than the default one. Then I start to draw, the thing is I seem can't see the whole canvas. I can't scroll up or down the entire canvas at all. I wonder how does it work? How do you make a continuous stroke through without seeing the whole canvas ( document size )?

Also, with this size, if printed, how large is the paper size?

Many thanks

yes, in fact you only see a small portion of the whole canvas. to scroll (on an us keyboard) press alt+tilde, then you can grab the canvas and slide it...

also, there is a zoom palette, which lets you zoom in, to see larger portions. when you want to save be sure to return to whole size....

You can see the whole canvas :)

Go to the Zoom palette and zoom out until the whole canvas is smaller than the window.

While there, check out the AA (for 'anti-aliased') half button. It helps to cut out the jaggies.

ZBrush exports at 72 DPI, so at 4096x4096 your print size would be about 56x56 inches. Printing at 72 DPI is a bit ugly though, so if you resampled your picture to 300 DPI you'd get around 14x14 inches.

(Disclaimer: it has been so long since I figured out resolutions that no responsibility is taken for the above numbers :p )

Hold down the spacebar, then click and drag on the canvas to move your view around.

Also, as has been mentioned you can use the Zoom palette to zoom in and out. The keyboard shortcuts for that are:

+ Zoom In
- Zoom Out
0 Actual Size
Ctrl+0 AA Half view
