Im attaching a z-sphere tool that resembles a flower. Im interested in Learning/Shareing some techniques on developing this form. My approach may be way off... Im new, so this might be cool. Please post some pics, tips, or tutorials.

Oh yeah, my original thought was "Rose-ish" but this model tends more towards a "Thistle"

The file can be found... titled "Flower" here: http://files.filefront.com/13427133 (http://files.filefront.com/13427133)

The other files are from various programs... If you have HL2 ans the Insurgency MOD, please checkout the Goatfarm.rar

Not a bad low poly model there.
Here is something I put together after a few trials and errors.

That is very close to what I had in mind. Escpecially the flattening and extruding of the petals. That final didn't come from my low poly tho.. right?

How did you do it? I am seeking for a method. I feel good for my time in "Z" creating lowpoly z-sphere. I need to learn some techniques. How did you create the petals? And is it all one blob of clay or is it Sub-tooled?

Your correct I didn't use the model you submitted as my starting point
Initially I used a macro for a SQUIRKLE created by cannedmushrooms (http://member.php?u=26596) .
The macro is explained in the 0202_Squirkle in this ZbrushCentral tutorial.

I am including my model as a 4 subdivision mesh with 2 subtools.
Enjoy !
