View Full Version : Texture paint problem
Hi, I'm trying the demo and texture master for its 3d painting feature. But is it possible to paint a texture on the mesh with the brush tool without the deformation as shown in the picture ? Thanks :)

In the stroke pallette (spelling?)..choose drag rec..it looks like a little arrow in a box... The Icon is that S looking thing. You can also leave it alone and just click..dont drag...

Also...go here (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/download/getzscripts.shtml?1tutes/) and in the Tutorial section, Download the Alien Script by Ken B...GREAT STUFF TO LEARN IN THERE! Both modeling and Texture Master!
also...again..click the show and tell button in the texture master script...it gives excellent training too!
Thank you, I did what you wrote but I can only drag the texture, I can't actually paint it like I would do in Paint Shop Pro for example (i.e. freehand).
Another example is Deep Paint 3D. You can also paint a texture without deformation.
I think I'm doing something wrong but I can't find what. I need to practice more I guess. :)
You're too fast, I'll try the alien tutorial!
Many thanks for your help :)

Unfortunately ZBrush isnt like most paint progs..I would be in HEAVEN is it would paint like PS7...
But yeah...that Alien ZScript is the best...I really haven't found anything to best it when it comes to modeling and texturing..and your plenty welcome.
..Good luck zbrushin!

Hi Turtle.
If you want just paint texture on a sphere. Take the tool Sphere3D -> you will have your texture apply on the sphere !
If you want just paint a circle take the Circle3D.
Or more sophisticated : take an Alpha circle, make a stencil -->and paint with the Drag Rect. In many case if you want exactly the texture : put the RGB slider to 100%.
Or more simplex.
Take an alpha circle and clic one time with the normal brush (RGB 100%) and Z -->00% 100% depend that you want thickness or not.
Etc...
Just make many try and have fun Zbrushing :)

there is also dragDot stroke type (size is controled by draw size)or...Before you draw your Sphere, click the texture you want...then draw the sphere and the texture should be on the sphere. If the texture is too big then go into edit mode...then go to the tools palette and find the modifiers sub palette. In there you will find a texture sub menu to where you can enter Hor and V ert repeat tiling...
As you can see ...there is more then one way to zskin a Sphere. (okay I am sorry for that)
Damn! Why does this page keep resetting? Aurick? http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/download/getzscripts.shtml?1tutes/
Because the website was designed to stay in the frames, so when you call a page without the frame, the page reloads itself the way that it was meant to be. :)
Mahlikus & Frenchy (funny nicknames you both have), thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
