You have already seen the head in a previous post now here is the body. This is a WIP of a character I am working on. Completely done with low-poly adaptive skinning. The cool thing with this is that the body and clothing you see are made from one ZSphere tool. Not multimarked together, not multiple skins, just one single adaptive skin. You can get a glimpse of how I did it in the ZSphere figure below. I will post the figure at a later date once I have finished with it and give a little tutorial on how to do the clothing. I have been working with adaptive skins for quite a while now...they come in so very hand for modeling just about anything. You will see some more low poly adaptive skin modeling when I finish my Invader Z picture (it is almost exclusively made frome ZSpheres and adaptive skins...armor and all). Cheers!

Nice one, Lonnie! :tu:
This is also becoming my chosen methdology, and I'm spending a lot of time with these Adaptive skinning experiments...The control over model attributes possible is totally amazing!
Looking forward to your progress on this!

Lol John I think you are thinking of Road Warrior!
Lonnie,
I hope you don't mind that I am posting a picture in this thread, but I thought it was so ironic that you made Wrong Way Nelson, with his clothing modeled with zifs. I just finished modeling a character the same way. Here is the finished character, which I will hopefully fine tune and put in a final image.

That's cool Brian! The clothing technique for Adaptive Skins is awesome isn't it? :D
Yep. A little tricky, though. You really have to exaggerate with the zifs, but practice gets it right. And I could not get decent hands with low poly. Maybe some tips? I tried looking at some of the models you posted, plus some others from before (you know :) ), but I was not happy with my results. Also, facial features didn't work here. Kept making the head turn square. I wonder if I used the head as the parent sphere, then built downward?
hey whats that Blue Thingie hang in the Front?

Here is a short script showing the technique for creating clothing on a figure. Note that this technique could be used to create clothing, armor, even mechanical constructs on a figure. If you use the Adaptive Skinning process you will have a greater control over the poly editing. I will post some images later showing "built on" armor using this technique.

A small update. The mesh modeling will begin shortly and then the rest of the details will be added to the figure. A background is in the works....the background in the pic below is just a temp.

Thank you Mentat7 for the zscript on how to do clothing with zspheres! This is just what I needed. I haven't offered any tips, really, as I'm really just learning slowly but I'll try to keep posting at least.
I'm a big fan of your work and always read your posts thoroughly to learn all I can.
