Or small..well anyhow:
When I go into 3dsculpting mode and make a shape, then save and open again I can't resume editing the 3D surface.
I noticed I had the 3D version of the object in a menu to the right tho, but it seems really stupid to everytime I open the file I have to pull the object out and pray I get the proportions right.
Is this how it works?, do I have to complete everything in a scene in one go to get it right?..or can it be done in a better way?.

ok..Mattias...if you are using the full version of the program you save the image as a .ztl (ztool) that is found on the right hand side Tool>Save As and then you save it...then to get the tool back you go to the same pallette and go Tool>Inventory and then load tool and pick that file...and you then have the tool back in your tools menu....drag the image open across your canvas and then go back into edit mode.... now if you are using the demo version you cannot save a .ztl though you can open up other people .ztl files ....I hope I explained this alright and hope it was what you were after..if not let us know and we will get the problem ironed out one way or another.....and Welcome to ZBCentral!!!!! You will find yourself quickly addicted to this wonderful program ..and if you ever have any questions dont hesitate to ask ..there is usually someone online around here that will be more than happy to offer assistance...also Take a look thru the quicklinks at the top of the forum...it is chalked full of outstanding information, tutorials and scripts....Can't wait to see your first images.... :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
Yeah,i'm haveing a very similar problem,
i've been working on my first alien head, spent two or three days sculpting and shapeing, resaved it each time as a ztool.
This morning,i load it up and it i can hardly shape it at all,it'll do a little shapeing, but only creates large areas, and is very slow to react, any ideas?
Thanx,
Wade

When you sculpt a 3D primative ZBrush automatically makes a copy and any sculpting you do will update the new tool.
If you accidentally drop the object by choosing another tool you can reselect your tool and redraw it as it was when you left it.
Tools are not automatically saved when you save the document. To be abble to resculpt a tool from a saved document you need to save the tool separately. This is done in the Tools pallete inventory.
Then when you open the document you can reload the tool. As far as I know tools cannot be saved in the demo version.
To redraw a tool in the same position you can mark it before you save the document. I believe markers are saved with the document although I'm not sure.

Yes, markers are saved with a ZBrush document.
Check this link which might help with your question:
Why can't I edit my object any more? (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000041)
Wadeo, did you dry adjusting your draw size and ZSub/ZAdd values in the draw pallette?

beat me to this one ron.
Wadeo, if you can sculpt the tool at all then you should be able to do what you want with it. Perhaps you need to play around with the sliders. Particularly the Zintensity which will affect how fast the shaping tools work. Also the brush size will make a difference. If it is becoming slow perhaps your mesh is too large for your system. If this is the case you can try modelling with a low poly count and dividing the mesh in the areas where you need it.
