View Full Version : Zbrush Alien For live Action Shortfilm

Hi there!. Here I post some screens of an Alien I made. Iīve model the low poly in 3dsmax, for rigging, face animation, flex modifier and other simulations. And in Zbrush I sculpted the high poly version for Displacement, normal, height, difuse and cavity maps. I didnīt know what would work better, if normal or displacement for an animated render in v-ray. Dispacement looked really better but the times of render per frame were imposible. So I had to work with the normal map and bump for the little details.

Please tell me what you think about it. Iīll post a few renders of the high poly in zbrush soon.

Hey I think it's very cool. I like all the subtle details. I find the hand with holes the most intriguing. Perhaps you can bring out more appeal by changing the texture and/or color here and there. The area that could use some refining is the crotch area - it looks slightly rushed. He's an alien with reptile/insect like features so go check out some insect/reptile crotches;)

Hey dude! thanks a lot!, Itīs a pitty that this is really an old post!. I ended up finishing the shortfilm with the alien looking like this, but I apreciate the critique.
