Hi, I spent all afternoon yesterday trying to find out how to texture my modeled onion.
It's a half onion, so I have to texture the exterior in one way, and the cut part with another texture.
I tried masking and hid points, but when I apply the texture to the unmasked part, and then take off the mask, voilą, all the object is textured with this second texture.... :(
Is it not possible to apply 2 different textures to the same object?
I got Texture master and the cloth script from Aurick, but I can't find my way out.....
Help!!!!!!

Nice onion, Mari!
I'm glad to see you worked out the problem. Every time you set a goal, and then succeed in your objective, you develope another layer of skills that help you solve the next one. Hang in there, and your learning curve will get less steep as you go!
I particularly like the onion skin...You nailed the surface characteristics!

Thanks a lot for your support, Stone!
I really felt a bit frustrated about it, I spent another whole evening trying and making mistakes, and I'm so proud of my result.
Here everybody seems to be so skilled, that I feel like a little pupil among university teachers..... :D
But I will learn, unfortunately I don't have much time for ZBrush, not as much as I'd like to.....
Thanks again for your encouragement!

Hi Juandel! I followed Pixolator's tut......but had to try several times before getting it right I was always missing something......... ;)
I modeled some veggies, now I plan to make a kind of pasta, and add to the image the recipe of "Sugo alla Mari"..... :D

Persistence is what does it Maga. Always remember the man who gave up a few inches from one of the worlds largest deposits of gold.
I think you hit the skin bang on. I do not know of any other forum where advice is so freely given. Thanks for sharing.
