View Full Version : Action Hero - Super Model

Trurl

Artist: Zoltan Korcsok

Hero Name: Super Model

Original name: Lola Parker (She has taken up the hero name "Super Model" because she has heard something about an other superhero called Lola.)

Weapons: Besides superhuman powers (flight, x-ray vision, super strength etc.) she has such a strong sex appeal, that she can get any man to do her bidding with her seductive glance. Also, she can live for a week without food.

Background Story: Lola is a beginner glamour model, but as the side effect of a plastic surgery that has gone wrong, she gained superpowers (It's still unknown where the two implants are from.). She only uses her powers for the benefit of others: she gets down cats stuck in trees, or diverts deadly meteorites headed towards Earth. Her ultimate goal is world peace.

Cool character......I think her weakness could be after eating she'd have to throw up to stay....sexy...like.anorexia or something....(Just kidding) But this has good potential. :)

Thanks for your replies.

Update:

Beginning the zsphere base mesh.
I used the great ZSphere Tweak plugin from TVeyes for tweaking the
zsphere and for the better Adaptive Skin topology.

Update:
I was working on a character's base model (the face is temporary), sculpting the base shape. Next, I'll play with the proportions, and choose the face shape that goes with it the best.

I've been working on the main character and I think I've finally found the proportions I like.

hey zoltan!

this is one more of those threads, i would have loved to discover a little sooner.
nice going with the zspheres, and very nice progress overall.
i think the first one of the three is the most harmonic.

jp_smith

This is a really nice female sculpt. She looks like a very healthy young woman, which is kind of the problem. If she's a super model, shouldn't she be more slender? The sculpt itself looks great, just wondering if her lower body mass might be too thick for what her former profession is, and her name implies? :)

Trurl
01-27-09, 03:05 PM
Thanks for your replies.

Moni-Poroni, zeke3d, Captain Sensible, fluxist8070: Thanks.
petekasim: I hope I'll be able to get my idea done right.
abyss103: I thought the first version was more harmonic too, but she'll be skinnier for reasons I explain in this post later on.
jp_smith: Yeah, well, other people have also said that she could be slimmer.

I've made some small changes to the physique of the character, she was too plump considering she has been starving for a week :) .
For my next update I'll make some face/head variations (one can be seen on this model already).

I also started working on the meteorite. The lower part of it will be melted from entering the atmosphere and the upper part will look more "rocky". It looks like a strange strawberry for the time being, but this will change as it gets more concrete shapes.

Nice Trurl, these proportions look great for this particular character. :)

maxinkuk
01-27-09, 04:38 PM
Great stuff, I love this entry.
But speaking of proportions I think that her thighs may be slightly too long, looking at her back view the back of her knee looks a bit low.

SolidSnakexxx
01-27-09, 06:30 PM
somehow I managed to miss the last update... Just want to say the proportion's looking good and the huge rock that will be added to the scene's coming along. (May be needing a few more ZLove and subdiv) But overall this is great :)

Hi the first one is much better I think.
It looks like the other two have the jaw slightly protruding in an not very natural way.

Harmonic
01-30-09, 04:21 PM
I definitely prefer # 1.

It looks a lot more natural and feminine to me, beautiful sculpting! :tu:

SolidSnakexxx
01-30-09, 07:14 PM
Hey great face sketches there...I think #1 is very cool and better suite the character. :tu:

Trurl
01-31-09, 11:53 AM
maxinkuk, Harmonic, SolidSnakexxx: Thanks for your help and replies. (The first version is my favorite too.)

I started to retopologize the kitten's base mesh because the ZSphere Adaptive Skin's polygon topology was wrong, it didn't mirror the intersection of the feet and toes on the mirrored legs correctly. I think it's a ZSphere Tweak plugin bug.

Very clean and controlled design. Looking great.

I'm curious. Did the weighting of the Zsphere help retain the shape of the character when you subdivided the mesh?

Or, just weighting with more resolution in the mesh help keep the shape?

I did a zsphere and when I subD'd it became very smooth and small.

thanks.

*Light*
02-01-09, 07:52 PM
Good job!

Yes I agree number 1 is best.

1. is a supermodel!

2. is probably a man lol.

3. might just be an alien haha.

Trurl
02-02-09, 12:07 PM
Thanks for your replies.

SolidSnakexxx: Thanks. I'm still working on retopologizing the kitten...

AVTPro: For building the base character mesh I used ZSphere with AdaptiveSkin Density level 2. When I tried setting the Adaptive Skin Density to a higher level, the base mesh didn't change. The control spheres work on the same on a higher level as on a lower level.

*Light*: Thanks for your vote.

Update:

I made the topology of the kitten.
I started the anatomical base, I'll make the fur after I'm finished with that. To make overlapping parts esaier to acces in the sculpting phase I used Polygroups to be able to hide certain parts later on.

So many updates. :)
Great overall progress.
I think she´ll be very beautiful. And the kitten is really cute. :)
But one thing concerning the kitten: there´s something wrong with the claws...
It´s hard for me to explain it..so here´s a little paintover and a reference pic.
I hope you know what I mean.:)

Trurl
02-06-09, 12:32 PM
Thanks for your help Moni-Poroni, but that drawing is anatomically incorrect. Also, the claws on the paw aren't in a retracted state in the picture you included.
There's still no fur on my WIP sculpt, that's why the skin cushions are visible on the paws, maybe that got you confused.
