Hallo to all,

I have a simple question. My problem is whow can I select the objects in the same layer.
When I draw a new object I cannot select the first one to rebuild it. ;)
I have download many Tutorials but no one of this Tutorials says who can I select an object. I know it is a stupid question, sorry ;) ;)
I am a beginner at ZBrush, it is a super program and the pics which I see are very beatyfull. At the moment I have the Demo from ZBrush.
I hope you can help me...

Thanks a lot... :)

Mitac,

Welcome to ZBrush! It's a truly amazing program, and you'll have a lot of fun with it as you get used to it.

To answer your question, once you have finished modeling a tool and switch to use another tool, your object is "snapshot" onto the canvas. Once this has happened, you cannot go back to select that object again. You can use other tools to build on top of it and add new details (which is one of the things that makes this program so awesome), but once something has been snapshot to the canvas it's fixed in place.

That having been said, there is a way to get around it. First, keep objects that appear to come into contact with one another, or overlap, on different layers. Second, every time you place an object and get it where you think you'll be happy with it, set a marker BEFORE you move on to add another object to the scene or switching to a different tool. This way, if you decide later that you need to adjust your object slightly (either changing the modeling or moving it), you can go to the layer that it's on, erase it, and then use your marker to recreate it. Now, until you snapshot it back to the canvas, you can move and/or edit it some more. When you're happy with it again, place a new marker, and move on.

Hope that helps you!
