DankWing Duck

Draco Down started out as your every day duck, but then he got high.

It started out as on ordinary day for the Down family. They swam, they ate, and then, while attempting to cross the road to get home, a scientist ran them all over. The scientist got out of his truck and found that only one duck was partially alive... that one was Draco Down. The scientist rushed Draco back to his lab where he attempted to revive him using a regeneration machine that had failed due to the complexity of human physiology. He thought just maybe it would work on something a little less complex such as a duck. What the scientist didn't know is that his lab assistant had been using this machine as a grow room for his marijuana. Not noticing the plants in the back corner of the machine, the scientist rushed in and placed Draco in the regenerator. The regeneration process started out as a success but when it got to his wings some strange mutations occurred. Draco's wings were formed as giant cannabis leaves, he sprouted roots from his sides and he had the ability to talk to humans. After losing his family and becoming a marijuana mutant, all Draco wanted to do was get high and get others high. This is how DankWing Duck was born.

DankWing Ducks Quote:

Powers:
Grows marijuana plants from his excrement.(leaves the scent of skunk wherever he goes)
Power of peer pressure. (can tempt people to get high)
Can talk to humans.

Weaknesses:
Munchies (cravings can be overwhelming)
Constipation (messes with his supply of weed)

Tool Belt:
Rubber Duck Pipe
Lighter
Bong Blaster (shoots a concentrated dose of vaporized weed)
Pill bottles containing an assortment of cannabis.
Sack full of bread crumbs for when he's got the munchies.


New to Zbrush, I don't know how far I'm even capable of going with this but I figured I would give it a shot.

This is not the finished sculpt or the finished pose. I still have a lot to do but I figured there are only 2 weeks left in the contest and I have never even pressed the Transpose Master Tab.

I envisioned him handing a baby the rubber duck pipe while taking a hit from his bong blaster... hopefully he isn't handing the rubber duck to New Born Hero. :lol:

I plan on rotating his head toward the bong blaster, curving the blades of his wings and a few other things for the next pose I just did this real quick because I was scared it was gonna crash. :)

If you wanted a more action oriented pose you culd use the bong blaster as a weapon. pointing it at the viewer while the rubber duckie is in the other hand with smoke rising out of the bowl and blowing smoke out his nose.

Good update. I would accentuate the folds of the swaddled blanket. Then grab a photo of some hemp cloth. Desaturate the photo, bring it into zbrush as an alpha and use the inflat brush to bring out that texture. I really like this one.

I suck at Transpose Master :lol:. I couldn't get anything to look right and then when I pressed Subt it took 6 hours to convert back so that was a waste of a time. Anyway here is an update of him placed in the scene I'm working on with the crappy pose.
