Story: Mother Earth is in trouble.. so at the center of the earth a new hero is born.. Sustainable Energy Man!
he comes to save Man and Earth! from Trash, global Cooling, Global warming, storms, carbon gases, and toxic waste, over population..etc etc.
Summoned by Mother Earth, he blasts from the center of earth. Then emerges from the earths crust forming magical roots and vines for legs. Also a sensor core that rotates and allows him to visualize the earth. This is for locating environmental crisis on the planet. His hands are also very powerful allowing him to go into land fills.. and turn garbage into plants.. soil.. flowers.. nature!
his eyes emit shining light from space.. or the sun.

his legs can detach..to attack an enemy and his upper body can then roll around using the earth core sensor thing..

Weakness:His only weakness sadly is Nuclear Radiation.. which I guess is Man's punishment for creating the Bomb..

Talk about a Timely Superhero!

Great concept!
I like the root legs. They will be awesome, once rendered!
Maybe have plants sprouting from his footsteps behind him...

This will be beautiful when it's done. Very original!

Very charming idea about the hero....and he's meant to really protect mother Earth! Cool design as well

Give him the face of Al Gore, and I'll lmfao!
look forward to seeing this one pan out.

cheers!

This should be very colorful to see. I'm having a bit of trouble picturing him, even with your concept sketches, but I'm sure it will all become clear as you work on it. ZBrush is great for branches and such, so the legs should be awesome.

i am making a separator between the earth and the upper torso.
I used max for the base mesh of the torso and earth.. The rest is with zbrush.. the torso was sculpted using zbrush.
i added some edge loops to the torso using Zbrush..

tell me your thoughts.. thanks for your time.

the earth is going to be fun to make. I am getting a pose ready too by taking reference shots..

I was thinking of making his hands have this sculpted leave texture to them.. I'll be thinking about that..

Cool we need this guy's help!I like your concept also.I was thinking that maybe the roots of the legs could continue up and then sort of wrap around the earth..Kind of tying into the torso..anyway love it and rock on!! :D

Hey dismantled, looken good so far.
I would suggest working on his proportions a bit to make them at least a bit heroic if not fully heroic.
Keep it up, I am looking forward to see how this one turns out.

JUPITER: the roots of the legs will continue up and then sort of wrap around the earth. that is a great idea... better then what I was thinking....thanks

Harmonic: Thanks for the response.. I am debating now... I was planning to make him more like bruce lee (extremely ripped)..which I was going to sculpt once I posed him..
I didn't really want to add any more bulk...to the design

i want to post my transpose movie.. Is there a link where i can find out how to post the movie in my thread?

Snake:more roots are being added to the top.. I did a quick drawing?..
This weekend I will try to post a quick rough sculpt of them.. that needs to be done before any more detailing...

Great idea - and great use of the zspheres :tu:
I love being outside in the nature with my dogs... but there are so many people around here who deposit their waste in the forest...I canīt believe it!!
But nobody cares!
We would really need your Susinable Energy Man.
Again-great idea:tu:

his neck needs a little fixing too..

I thought so..that you dind't plan to make him showng the finger... :) I'm sure it can be fixed...and I like the idea of cloud atop the globe..It'd help blend the transition area well too

I think the clouds and other parts will look better when i apply some better materials. This will help to show separation between parts.
I did a simple base shape for the tire in Max and detailed it in ZBrush (using the radial symmetry)..

the rat I made with zspheres... it was fun...

i plan on adding more detail to the base. Like more junk... to make look like he is standing on a land fill..
