Student looking for models

Hey there,

I'm currently studying for a diploma in 3D Animation at Qantm College, UK, trying to specialise in character setup/rigging.

I've been on the lookout for some models to rig, 1, maybe 2 at the maximum, for my showreel.
I love rigging anything mechanical, however I'm also in need of an organic character to setup. I'm not partial as to whether the models are textured.

Sorry if this is the wrong area of the forum for this type of post. I did have a look around, but couldn't find a specific area for requests of this nature.

This is the right area for your post, i'm sure there might be some people willing to send you models, but the problem on a zbrush forum is that 90% or more use it as an illustrational tool, which means that most models are not fit for rigging at all, unless they were retopologized afterwards, which only a small percentage of the Zcentral users do. You might have more luck finding ready-to-animate characters and more traditional package messageboards/forums.

ps: i'm one of those people that does not look at topology on my model, only when I run out of polygons in a certain area, but never from an animation perspective. If I did however, I'd have sent you a model ;)

I have stuff that I used for rigging with decent topology, but they don't look good. I'm more than happy to share it with you. I'm starting to do gesture modeling now for my new models. They look better, but not meant for animating. :)
