View Full Version : texture colours
Hello :D
I was wondering, how does one change the colour of the texture you are using?
for instance, lets say I wanted to use a green scales texture, but I wanted the scales to show purple, how would I do this?
all help will be highly appreciated! ;)

it depends which method your using to apply the color to the texture.. if your using the texture master than simply load the tool and the texture and drop the model to be colored.. simply add your purple after that...have you used the texture master yet?
no dr jjwow, where can I get it from :qu:
and how does one use it :qu:
thanks in advance for the info ;)
there's probley a few way to change the color over the texture.
but the best i can tell you is you need to color over your texture with (intensity and RGB set LOW)
lets say your still in edit mode Go to(MODIFIERS)>(TEXTURE)>COLORIZE selected and GRD...And ZADD OFF.
and color
You don't have the TextureMaster, yet?
There are several ways to get it. Download my Script Selector (http://www.aurickle.com/downloads/ScriptSelector.zip), and you'll have it included in the package with a bunch of other handy tools. Or you can get just the TM at Pixologic's Site (http://www.pixologic.com) in the ZScript Library, or you can download it in this forum at This Thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=002034).
There are also Tools in ZBrush to change colors (the Hue Shifter and Colorizer, for example). Also in ZBrush, you can unwrap the texture onto the canvas and change your Render Palette modifiers to adjust the colors across the entire texture. Then bake the layer and do a screen grab with MRGBZGrabber to pick it back up as a texture.
Finally, you can use Photoshop to adjust colors or replace particular colors with others.
It all depends on the particular effect that you want, and whether you want to affect just a part of the texture or the whole thing.
Thanks Aurick, but now I have another problem, when I try to load one of the scripts is says this: unable to open c:\program files\Zbrush\Zscripts\......
it hapens to all of the scripts in script selector.
I have ZBrush 1.23 full
Are you running a Mac? Also, you say 1.23 -- is it 1.23 or 1.23b? That may make a difference (and you can't run the TextureMaster on 1.23, anyway).

after downloading auricks script selector you need to drag and drop all the files into your script folder... try that
