View Full Version : camel
Hello! mix of 3dsphere, and zspher for the neck. I model always at a very low intensity, say about 3 or 5, and try to stay in zsub as long as possible; zsud, and M mode; in fact, I try to use zadd just when i know "exactly why". http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1034590951txv.jpg

La peau n'est-elle point un chouïa trop reptilienne pour un chameau ?
Sinon c'est du grand art à la mode du journal "Pilote" de l'age d'or :)
Does the skin not too reptile for a camel ?
It's a great image tribute to a Comic's "Pilote" of 1970 years :)

:) c'est un trés vieux, (very old) camel, and i was too lazzy to go on fur; so... amitiés M.

Donc le Chameau descend du serpent ..??
mouarf quand je vais dire ça a mon grand pere !!! :)
Great stuff once again. I particularly like the region around the eyes. And the hat is also stunning, great fibers on the top. He looks very wise :tu:

Wauu Marcel !! One post after another !! Well done !!! :D :tu: :tu:
Great modeling and detail. IMHO for an image so well done the skin should also be as realistic as the other parts of this image, applying a snake skin does not do it justice. But you have the right to paint it as you wish!

His skin is like that because he smoked too many Camels! ;) I don't know if you French have ever seen any Camel cigarette advertising, but that is what it reminds me of. The packaging always has a camel with pyramids in the background.

always a real treat to see your work. love this camel.. very well done as always.
Marcel, you seem to have come to us out of the blue, but I must say that viewing your work has been a pleasure from the very start. I don't speak French as well as I used to, so I won't embarrass myself here by trying to say something.

Superb modelling! :tu: :tu: :tu:
I tend to agree with others about the baldness, though - he definitely deserves a fur coat. :D
Thanks for the tip about using ZSub in preference to ZAdd - as a total beginner at modelling, this had not occurred to me. I understand the reason for it. I'm not sure I can wrap my head around the technique though - it means a whole new way of imagining the contours.

Wow, that looks amazing. I think the Fezz fits him great. Also the expression on his face is cool. Way to go :tu:
How do you achieve that cartoonish/painting like effect?
