:) hello!I've being experiment perspective in zbrush, and I find very very surprising the effects possible with the fact that in the same scene you can change the distort cursoor, ;in other words, the same picture is make by a virtual camera of for example 50mm in the center, then 30mm, then 20 on the side...this allows a very sensitive and precise game xith the perspective, much better than the unique focal lens in other soft...for example, in the first picture, wich is about the work of a fanatastic us artist, Geof DARROW, and his "sixties revisited", i have progressively changes the distortion, for each building, to achieve this nearly "spherical" perspective; http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1046448112jgx.jpg

for the castle, the progressive deformation of the pers is less heavy, so it seems to be a very classic perspective, but in fact it's also differents distortion, ;with a unique focal lens, the little boat would be very far, and others strange things happens, in despite that they would be "true" in perspective, and in zbrush, they are "fake", but esthetically "true" (well ,Ihope ;) http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1046449144dqf.jpg

Very interesting work. I especially like the cityscape, and perspective certainly does make a difference in how the work presents. Thanks for posting the results of your perspective experiments.

omg , this is really beautiful work , the amount of detail is incredible. I love all of them. Are all objects in these 3 pictures made in Zbrush ?
And is that landscape in the third made with vue ?

I have a perspective question that this thread reminds me of...

shift-clicking the perspective button seems to activate universal for that particular tool. Can it be truely universal for all tools, or do I need to do it for each one?

Thanks!

I love those buildings... Can you share a bit about how you made them? Alpha inflates?

Thanks!

I just came from a great post by Marcel, then loaded this one without looking at the author - and thought wow! who's work is this... Two in a row - great work again. I especially like #1 where the perspective effect worls particularly well. :tu: :tu: :tu:

Hi Monkeyfarm,

The Global perspective option must be activated for each tool before you draw it. However, the global settings (vanishing point and distortion amount) will remain constant from one tool to the next. Unless, as Marcel did, you change them. ;)

Great work again Marcel. The detailing is amazing. You've alluded in the past of not being bogged down in one software, so I'm assuming that the images in this thread were comp'd in Photoshop. Is that true? I've always loved your attitude of using software that makes the most sense for the task.
