You need to own two games to use the Unreal engine? :eek:

Or did you mean "Gears of War *or* UT3"

The videos cover both games

Pros for Gears of War
Great for newbs
Monster AI
Great for starting level designers
Visual coding is a little easier.

Pros for UT3
The ability to change parts of the engine using coding
The ability to make player characters using meshes
Great for starting level designers

You can use either game though since the navigation within the editor is the same.
Personally I would start out in a GOW environment and work your way up when you outgrow it (which won't happen since monster AI rules all)
