Okay, the selection for this material and rendering took a lot longer than the picture. 4 layers, water, tree stumps, foliage back, foliage front. Apply coloring before or after then use rgb brushes intensity, highlighting and some contrast brushes or filter.
The path on the right was a surprise that resulted from me inverting the smudging than on the left. ie, I left them top heavier with a little bit of fading towards the bottom. On the left the tree stumps were bottom heavy and smudged cursively overall.
The foliage was a blend of various color sprayed alphas for the majority and some paintbrushed alphas in the same fashion underneath. Well hope you guys like it, I like how it turned out although my head is a little blurred with all the material selections. I think this contrast is most complimentary (material selection for this type of image is very important towards the end where all the elements and coloring is blended together). Some minor image chopping. 300 - 193K! http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1040724548ced.jpg
