Is the handle one piece created with masking and/or symmetry on a cylinder, or did you do the image in 2.5D out of primitives?

I started with a cylinder and modeled it into the handle. I wish i could get the green saber part to glow more...

LWTB, there IS a glow material, if you care to find it, and it has some material modifiers (two sets of them). the first set defines glow amount and glow radius, if I remember that right.

so, just make your saber beam out of that material.

by the way, the glow material has to be rendered for its glow to show.

:)

i used the glow material but couldnt get the radius it glowed to be larger. The blade is the glow material with gel modifiers and stuff.

There's a trick with fog that you can do to create a glow.

Learn about it here (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=001175). (And be prepared to have your breath taken away by a really awesome pic!)
