working with mocap

Hi, I'm a modeler (very new to animation) learning more about animation/mocap.
What software is recommended for looping mocap data?
I'm going to be grabbing mocap off a DVD of lets say a walk and I want to loop it.

Any animation package capable to import the mocap data (bvh or whatever format). Motionbuilder comes to mind as specialized package. Otherwise any package like Maya, XSI, Max, C4D, Houdini....
