View Full Version : Evening Skies
I decided to try another image in ZBrush and incorporate some of what I learned useing Vue and Terragen. Nothing much, but thought I would share it anyway.

I think this is all Zbrush isn't it?
DeeVee you are getting to be a master at water & sky. Your rock is also quite interesting, the texture makes it look alive, almost lizard like. Very different.

Thank you both for commenting!
Donna, You are quite right This image is all ZBrush! what I said, was that I was tryung to put the lessons I learned while using Vue, and Terragen to use in ZBrush. So I do not know why that should be confusing! BTW the rocks were done using the 3D brush.

Yep - no doubt about it, this is all ZBrush - and good quality work to boot! I love the sky and water on this one, Joe, a departure from your more regular styles, but just as effective. :tu: :tu: :tu:
As a little 121, I have a slight problem with the foreground. The perspective of the beach looks wrong, in fact I first took it to be another vertical gravelly rock. I think the problem arises from the parallel lines in the water which being horizontal, meet the curved beach in an unnatural way. My solution would be to either ditch the beach, or replace it with another low rock formation or vegetation if you feel it needs something in that corner to balance the composition.
I agree with you totally Bill, I wanted something in that corner for balance and I thought that my rock formations were overworked from previous images so I tried something different. This changing in mid stream is what did me in from a technical point of view, Thanks for the 121.I just thought I would try FC's suggestion.

Another fine image DeeVee. That sky is a beauty, to say the least.
