everyone is always hiring, even if they don't post up job openings. You need to be very good to catch the eye of companies that don't have jobs posted though. The job market is located anywhere anything visual is done. In the US it is mostly in LA or areas in California. Canada is up and coming as well as Michigan because of the major tax breaks they are giving to the entertainment industry right now.

If you can rise above the masses in this market then you can get a job, but remember, the whole world is competing for that same job, not just the guys that were sitting next to you in class.
