I wasn't happy with my attempts to make a seamless, posed full-body character within ZB, so I made a simple box form in another 3D modeler, subdivided that and imported the mesh into ZB for all the real sculpting and texturing.

These quick box forms are easy to edit and pose. Just about every 3D modeling program out there can extrude square faces so it's no problem to replicate this.

I have nothing against frogs.

Holymotherofgod!!!!!

You scared the crap outta me. You know what that thing looks like square in the middle of a 21 inch monitor!!!!??!?!?!?
The motion blur adds WAY too much reality.

*wiping brow*

Damn Ken, shoot me an email and WARN me when you are going to post angry amphibians!

THAT is brilliant work, Ken...!
(And I have a 22 in. monitor, so the effect was equivalent!)
That's a really nice procedure with 'roughing out' in another program, then refining in Z...Thanx for a great image, and a very interesting line of inquiry I'll be trying!

I'm hoping I'll know what it's like to look into a 21" monitor at angry amphibians someday. If Santa thinks I've been good, then I just might very soon.

Everybody, enjoy the holidays!

Great work, I guess a lot of the viewers did not have to disect frogs in Biology labs. I really like this image Ken.

Awesome. Simply awesome. Scary, but awesome.

Hi Ken, great image here. I really like the texturing - as well as the info about box modelling in another prog.
Viewing this in a larger monitor, it's the only way to go. Until recently I was "enjoying" a 15" use the magnifying glass sort. I hope santa's good to you this xmas!

Lightwave was used to create the beginning mesh. But like I said, you can do this in many programs, even free ones off the net.
