Your work is just amazing, I can't get over the enormously awesome content that that thread hosts.

As a novice/beginner I have a serious problem with my sketching and I was hoping that a master such as you might have some words of advice for me. Whenever I begin to sketch a form on paper I can never become satisfied with a pose, & if I do the pose seems to move and change as the sketch evolves and I either end up with garbage, if I'm lucky a partially finished sketch, or on many days an erased page. Do you think more anatomy studies is the answer?

I'm not certain if anyone else has these troubles, I have much to express, yet trouble doing so. I try and try and try some more.

You are a machine :) but you've got so used to it that making a few models a day it's a pice of cake.

This practice is very good. It gives you a fresh eye when you jump from model to model so you can make improvements faster, but you got to have a will of steel.

You are on fire!

Even in the earliest forms you're capturing a likeness. All of the stuff for Stan Winston's tribute is identifiable just from the shape. Your approach is fundamentally very sound. The gross mass is accurate before any details. I hope the younger artists on the forum realize how much this makes your detail work that much stronger, your speed possible and proceeding to a finish easier.

This whole thread could be used as the basis for a digital sculpting textbook.

So that's what Arnie would look like if he was bald. I've noticed you've had the same difficulty sculpting hair in zbrush as I'd had in the past. Why don't you make the hair outside of zbrush in a program like maya or max? Everything is looking spot on btw

arnold looks great but i find you should show us some maya husteling!
im talking about hard surface modelling! also texturing and rendering!
its about time!! i know that high poly moddeling is your baby but i bet you could also do kickass textures! artist is artist!:lol:

and if you decide not to do so its still a good decision cause ur moddeling is great! i also have to congratulate you on the consistency of your posts really awesome :) :tu:
