This is probably one of those "DUH" things I'm just overlooking. But I can't seem to find any help with search or quicklinks and I tried following Ken Brillants tutorial on MM's... I'm trying to combine two tools into one editable polymesh... A dragon body and wing... I select the body tool, draw it onto my canvas, mark it... Select the wing tool, draw it out, mark it... Clear my canvas... Select MultiMarker and draw it out and it's two bodies combined, not the wing and body... I've tried with "TOOL" selected in the marker palette, and every other combo... I've tried doing it on seperate layers, and still doesn't work... If try the same process using the dragon body, but instead of drawing out the wing I draw out a plain 3D sphere, it works perfectly and I can edit, polymesh etc. What am I doing wrong?
What are the names of the body and wing? Try saving them as individual .ZTL files with unique names before you place your markers. I think that this will resolve the problem for you.
sometimes it happens that the mm tool forgets the name of your tool (but not the other settings). to get it to remember the name do the following:
unpress the button "tool" in the marker pallet. then find the marker which has forgotten its name, use your tool, the dragon in your case and place it at this marker. press marker minus (to delete the marker), then immediatetely after press mm plus to set the marker again. now the mm knows the name again. now press butoon "tool" in the mm pallete to activate tool memory again. now your dragon draws completely.
hope this helps.
