I put a texture on an active model, then use a simple brush to touch up the same model...within 30 seconds the programme tells me......Illegal......and computer crashes. Everytime on any selected model. No matter if texture is embedded or not. Mmmm not quite right,,,,,once texture is applied and I continue to model with colour added....
then crashy whasshie, then obscenities.....

PC Pentiun III 500
128 ram
plenty of disk space
Only ZBrush running.
Win 98

Any ideas or help with this one ....Please.

Hi Ed_The_Atom . . . :)

After reading your post, I gave your procedure a try - I'm sorry to tell you that I had "0" problems with it. I tried it several times - loaded a "Sphere3D" - modeled it a little - applied a texture - did some painting on top with the "Simple Brush" & different colors - rendered it at "Best Render", but nothing out of the ordinary happened.

I don't really understand this, being that your system is almost identical to mine?

I wish I could tell you something more helpful, have a good one . . . Mark.

PS: ( PIII 500 / 512 mgs ram / TNT2 Ultra with 32 mgs video ram / Windows 98SE / DirectX 8. )

Hi again Ed_The_Atom . . . :)

I forgot to ask you in my last post: What operating system are you using??? :qu:

I'll check back with you later . . . Mark.

Thanks Kruzr,

The problem occurs when......

I finish a model, (resolution max) then texture it... then I decide to model a little more with the textured model.....crash, or if I model over the texture using the option modelling with colour added.......30 seconds crash. Looks like a memory prob to me.

Also, another two problems

Merrily modelling.....suddenly the working area loses my model.....area totally black....only the 2 red modelling dots there. I have to restart.

Or modelling and suddenly I have two models, one active over an inactive one.

Again looks to be some sort of memory problem.

Anyway thanks for your time Kruzr much appreciated.
