Really, I just wish there was a searchable forum topic with a title something like this. I've read, at one time or another, nearly every post on this subject, but cannot find the series of posts that I am looking for. It was an example given by Mr. Alon showing very economical and modelable human like adaptive meshes made from ZSpheres. There was, I believe, a close up of the hand, which, for me, finally solved some of the problems I was having. I know there have been many posts featuring ZSphere based hands, but most of them featured unified skinning. I would like the one showing the best hand mesh skinned adaptively. Also, if anyone can share the "xres", "yres" and "zres" settings that are used when going from limb to hand or foot and head, that would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
sincerely,
Greg Smith

While I was waiting for a reply I tried my hand at this. I think this is the method Pixolator used in his human example. The beauty of it is that you can leave the ZSphere "xres" settings at the default and create a very low resolution mesh, (bottom left) which can be easily modified to get the overall accurate hand shape, (center), and with a little smoothing, inflating, dividing and smoothing some more, you can get a very serviceable and, I might add, animatable hand, (right).

I think you're looking for Pixolator's post in this thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010769).
In the future, to find a specific image by a particular artist, you can simply go to any post by that person and view their gallery by clicking that post's Gallery button. It won't take you long to find the image you're looking for. :)

Hi Greg
I think this might be the thread you mean. In it Pix has a tool for download - it covers hands but the tool is a whole body.
Fingers crossed ;)
