View Full Version : Another Bug In Version 1.23 . . .

'Afternoon all . . . :)

Actually, it's a carry over bug from earlier versions of ZBrush. ;)

When in a magnified view & you have moved the bottom slider ( moving the view left or right ), then you attempt to zoom back out, it does not work without moving the vertical slider, then the view jumps way out of center & you have to re-center the view again. The work around for this is, before zooming back out you have to move the "Vertical Slider" some first, then you can zoom back out & the view stays centered.

I realize this is not a MAJOR problem, but it can be quite frustrating when your working on a very close-up area of an object & you forget to move the vertical slider before zooming back out a little. You have to zoom out, to find the isolated area you were working on, then zoom back in to continue editing. :(

I never mentioned it in the previous version because I thought the beta testers would have pointed it out to Pixolator for correction in version 1.23.

Anyway, if someone from Pixologic could let me know that this is something that will be corrected, I would appreciate it. :)

Thanks in advance for any comments or help & have a good one . . . Mark.

PS: ( I'm hoping that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem? )

Hi Kruzr,

The easiest way to scroll the canvas is by pressing the spacebar and dragging the canvas left/right/up/down. I do not use the sliders at all and I assume that also none of the beta users did. If you do like to use the horizontal slider, then after you have scrolled left/right, you need to click mouse button or press a non-numerical key (such as the spacebar, esc or even the ‘+/=’ which is the zoom in) this will take care of the problem that you are experiencing.

If you encounter any other difficulties (even a tiny problem) please send us an email and if it is indeed a bug, it will be fixed prior to the release of the next update patch.

P.S. You’ll find it interesting to know that due to the fact that these sliders were rarely used, they were completely removed from the ZBrush interface and prior to the release of 1.23 they have been re-activated only for compatibility reasons.

Thanks Pixolator . . . Really appreciate the answer. :D

I hate to admit this, but I wasn't even aware of using the spacebar & mouse to move the image. :o :o :o

Have a good one . . . Mark.
